Juggalinks: A Brief Bibliography for the Juggalo March on Washington

I'm typing this over shitty wifi on a Vamoose bus from New York City to Arlington, VA, so please excuse the brevity. My buddy and frequent collaborator, artist Michael Welsh, and I are staying the night in Arlington and will be at the Juggalo March on Washington all day tomorrow. Being from Michigan, I've known Juggalos all of my life, and I'm looking forward to being there in solidarity with them. Whoop whoop to the family.

If you're not familiar with what the protest is all about, below is a little round-up of links explaining the situation with the Juggalos being labeled a "hybrid gang" by the FBI in 2011, a designation that can result in issues with employment, discharges from the military, and disproportionate punishments for legal trouble. As many people have noted, scheduled for just around the same time tomorrow is a white supremacist event called the Mother of All Rallies. My hope is that everything remains separate and chill, because the Juggalos don't need bad press right now.

USA Today: "This is Why the Juggalos are Marching on Washington"

Jacobin: "Class Clowns"

The Hill: "Democratic Socialists Group Endorses the 'Juggalo March' in D.C."

Noisey: "The Radical Politics Behind the Juggalo March on Washington"

Mic.com: "Juggalos Have Become the Darlings of the Left and the New Face of Anti-Racist Activism"

BTR Today: "The Juggalo March Deserves Your Support"

Below is tomorrow's full program, per the most up-to-date information being distributed. The Mother of All Rallies toddlers also have a cute lineup of things happening but I've literally never heard of a single fucking person who is speaking or any of the "bands" playing it so I'm not going to post it. Could you imagine being such a fucking flag-humping loser that you'd actively choose to see a band called Madison Rising instead of the fucking Insane Clown Posse? LMAO.

We're planning to attend everything. We'll be shooting photos, talking with folks, and compiling a little report on the full experience for a blog post early next week. If you'd like to follow along, I'll be tweeting updates throughout the day from my personal Twitter account, @SocMalpractice

Peace, Love, & Faygo.
